What makes A private visit to the temples of the Philae, and Kalabsha with a French speaking guide a unique experience ?
Philae is so wonderful, It is on an island called Agilkia where Unesco has succeeded in saving the monuments of Philae. The old site is now under water and at the end of your visit the guide will show you where this site was. The monument of Philae consists of several things: The large temple on site is dedicated to The goddess Isis who is the goddess of magic, the 2nd temple is much more popular than that of Isis, It is dedicated to the goddess Hathor, the goddess of love and motherhood, and finally, The grandiose kiosk of the Romian emperor Trajan. As the site is on an island, it is only accessible by a motor boat.
Kalabsha is a large site located on an island on Lake Nasser just behind the New Aswan Dam. Unesco has moved to this island several things from the lake’s water rise. First of all: The Kalbasha temple which dates from the Romian period, and dedicated to the god Mandolis. He is the 2nd largest saved on the Lake. The second saved is called Beit El-Ouali which dates from the Pharaonic era to the time of Ramses 2. It is carved into the rock, and it has engraved scenes painted until today (for 3300 years). There are 2 stele from the Pharaonic era. There are the remains of the temple of Gerf Husseinq which dates from the time of Ramses 2. There are near historical grafitti before 3600 years before Jesus which are saved too. Finally you will admire the Greek Kiosk of Quertassi. It is a frankly very site of all the times.
