Itinerary

Day 1: Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo

Pass By: The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, Midan El Tahrir Geographical Society Building, Cairo 11511 Egypt
You will be picked up from your accommodation in either Cairo or Giza by your Egyptologist Guide; you will start the day by visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. Here is displayed the largest and most precious artefacts of Egyptian items and art in the world. The Museum exhibits a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artefacts that date as far back as 5000 years, including an exclusive exhibit dedicated to King Tutankhamon. 

You will then continue your tour to the Citadel of Saladin built during the 12th Century (it is comprised of a number of important monuments) the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammad Ali built during the 18th century, the mosque of Suleiman Pasha, Joehs Walls and Mohamed Ali Pasha Palace.                                         

Afterwards, you will continue to travel to Coptic Cairo, built around the 3rd century, where the ruins of the Fortress of Babylon are.

Built over the ruins of the fortress is the Church of St.Mary (the suspended church) the most well-known and popular name for this church is the “Hanging Church”. Next, you will go to visit the Church of St. Sergius, founded at the end of the 4th century that stands on a crypt where the Holy Family took refuge during their escape from Palestine to Egypt.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will be driven back to your hotel accommodation for drop-off.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Sakkara & Memphis

Pass By: Pyramids of Giza, Al Haram Str., Giza 12611 Egypt
You will be picked up from your accommodation in either Cairo or Giza by your Egyptologist Guide; you will start the day by visiting the Giza Plateau which is only about 30 minutes from Cairo where your Egyptologist Guide will provide a fascinating introduction to each of the three pyramids: Cheops, Khafre and Menakaure. 

A short distance to the city side of the plateau finds you standing at the feet of the Sphinx, for thousands of years the enigmatic symbol of Egypt! Also in Giza, you may visit the valley temple wich belongs to the pyramids of Chephren

Your next stop is the Sakkara necropolis, home to the world’s oldest major stone structure. You will then proceed to the Necropolis of Sakkara, the Mastabas of Ti and Prince Ptahotep.

Your final stop is Memphis, which is the ancient capital of Egypt. In Memphis, you will see artefacts from many of the great rulers of Egypt, including the fallen statue of Ramses II. 

At the conclusion of your tour, you will be driven back to your hotel accommodation for drop-off.
