Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Cairo

Stop At: Cairo, Cairo, Cairo Governorate
You’ll arrive in the land of the Pharaohs, Menes, Tutmothis, Akhenaten and Ramses. You’ll meet our guide and are immediately transported to your hotel to settle in and start soaking up the atmosphere of this exciting city.

Day 2: Tour Memphis, Saqqara and Giza Pyramids

Stop At: Mit Rahina Museum, Mit Rahinah, Al Badrashin 11511 Egypt
You’ll enjoy a short ride to Memphis. Founded around 3,100 BC, Memphis is the legendary city of Menes, the King who united Upper and Lower Egypt. in Memphis you will view a very large and well-preserved statue of Ramses II. There is also an alabaster statue probably belongs to Amenophis II

Stop At: Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids, Al Giza Desert, Saqqara 12919 Egypt
Sakkara, is one of the most extensive archaeological sites in Egypt! Sakkara is dominated by the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, dating back to 2700 BC. It is one of the oldest stone structures in the world!

End your day of touring with the wonders of the ancient world, The Great Pyramids of Giza were constructed in the 2500s BC as the burial places of pharaohs; together they are the only Ancient Wonder of the World that still exists today.

The Great Sphinx is a colossal stone statue located next to the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. Carved out of limestone, the Sphinx has the facial features of a man and the body of a recumbent lion; it is approximately 240 feet (73 m) long and 66 feet (20 m) high.

Day 3: Flight to Aswan, Tour Philae Island and High Dam

Stop At: Aswan High Dam, Manteqet As Sad Al Aali, Aswan Egypt
This morning after breakfast we transfer to the airport for our flight to the modern city of Aswan. Upon arrival, we take the time to visit the High Dam, built from 1960 – 1971 and is a major factor in Egypt’s economic success.

Stop At: Temple of Philae, Island of Agilika, Aswan Egypt
The island of Philae was the center for worship of the goddess Isis and attracted pilgrims from all over the ancient world.
Built in the Greco-Roman era by the Ptolemaic dynasty, the temple was built over a period of 300 years. Isis, the Egyptian Goddess of love, magic, fertility and motherhood has been worshipped in Egypt for centuries.

Stop At: Unfinished Obelisk, Sheyakhah Oula, Aswan Egypt
The region of Aswan, rich in pink granite present only in this part of Egypt, provided the stone blocks intended for the pyramids, statues and colossi built by the pharaohs. In the granite quarry you will find the largest obelisk known to date (41.75m), whose size was abandoned due to a crack in the rock

Stop At: Elephantine Island, Across the Nile from Aswan Two parts to this Island, Aswan Egypt
After the tour of Philae and unfinished obelisk, Return to the Cruise ship for Lunch and then out again for a felucca ride around Elephantine Island, which once served as a fortress, nowadays it has the ruins of a Ptolemaic temple, take a walk at the botanical Garden on the near Island of Lord Kitchner

Day 4: Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu

Stop At: Temple of Kom Ombo, Nagoa Ash Shatb, Kom Ombo 81611 Egypt
Today the Cruise ship starts sail leaving Aswan
First stop will be at the Kom Ombo Temple, it is unusual in that it is a double temple, with one side dedicated to the god Haroesis and the other side to Sobek. The design is almost perfectly symmetrical, with two side-by-side sanctuaries and two parallel passageways leading through the outer parts of the temple.
The right side is dedicated to Sobek-Re (the crocodile god combined with the sun god Re), along with his wife (a form of Hathor) and their son Khonsu-Hor. Sobek is associated with Seth, the enemy of Horus.

After Lunch you will enjoy a carriage ride to the temple of Edfu, This temple of the falcon god Horus is both the largest temple in the Ptolemy dynasty and the second largest sanctuary in Egypt after Karnak. Inside, the intact paintings, inscriptions and reliefs make it the best preserved temple in Egypt. Return to the boat, Sail to Esna Lock.

Day 5: Edfu – Esna – Luxor

Day 6: Luxor Visits

Stop At: Valley of the Kings, Luxor City, Luxor 85511 Egypt
Early sailing to Luxor
upon arrival in Luxor will start the visit to the attractions located on the western bank of the Nile in Luxor known as Thebes of the dead
Valley of the Kings, a burial site used by Egyptian rulers of the New Kingdom period (1550-1070 bc). It is located on the west bank of the Nile. Although only a few kilometers west of the riverbank, the valley is concealed by high cliffs and a long, narrow, and winding entranceway.Most of the tombs were carved deep into solid bedrock and contain a multitude of rooms with carved and painted hieroglyphic texts and magical and symbolic scenes. The last tomb discovered (1922), that of Tutankhamun of the 18th Dynasty, was the only one to survive wholesale looting in ancient times. here you will visit three tombs

Stop At: Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, Kings Valley Rd Deir el-Bahari, Luxor 23512 Egypt
After the Valley of the kings visit you will proceed to the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Hollowed out of the rock in the mountain of Thebes, this temple with three terraces built in -1455 is both harmonious and modern and although dedicated to the god Amon, there are also chapels of Anubis and Hathor, the protective goddess women

Stop At: Colossi of Memnon, Thebes, Luxor Egypt
Proceed to The Colossi of Memnon; a pair of giant statues made of sandstone that are located in the wester bank of Luxor, they are all what remained from the funerary temple of Amenophis III
It is 18 m high and they were located at the entrance of one of the greatest temples of the New Kingdom
Return to the Cruise Ship – Lunch onboard

Stop At: Temple of Karnak, Karnak, Luxor Egypt
The Afternoon will be dedicated to the Karnak and Luxor temples.
Karnak Temple is a vast temple complex in Luxor dedicated primarily to Amun and dating from as early as 2000 BC. It is an impressive sight, and second only to the Great Pyramids in popularity.The key difference between Karnak and most of the other temples and sites in Egypt is the length of time over which it was developed and used. Approximately 30 pharaohs contributed to the buildings, enabling it to reach a size, complexity and diversity not seen elsewhere.

Stop At: Luxor Temple, Luxor 23512 Egypt
After the visit of Karnak temples you will move to the next attraction on the east bank of the Nile, The Luxor temple, erected in the 14th century BC. AD during the reign of Amenhotep III was also later modified by Ramses II, who added six monumental statues and two obelisks.
After the visits return to the boat for Dinner & Overnight

Day 7: Flight from Luxor to Cairo, Visit to the Egyptian Museum

Stop At: The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, Midan El Tahrir Geographical Society Building, Cairo 11511 Egypt
Early disembarkation and transfer to Luxor Airport, An early morning flight back to Cairo. At Cairo Airport our tour guide will meet you and carry on tour the Egyptian Museum, one of the richest in the world, in the heart of Cairo. Inside is the largest and most precious collection in the world of archaeological antiquities from ancient Egypt. The Museum houses 120,000 antiquities, including the treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun as well as most of the mummies discovered.

Stop At: Islamic Cairo, Midan Silah ad-Din, Cairo 11511 Egypt
Muhammad ‘Ali Mosque or Alabaster Mosque inside the Citadel of Saladin
It was built between 1824 and 1848; the domes had to be rebuilt in the 1930s. with its Ottoman-style is the most noticeable in all of Cairo; for more than 150 years it has dominated the skyline.
Muhammad Ali is buried beneath a white marble monument on the right of the entrance behind a bronze grill.

Stop At: Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan, Maydan Salah al-Din, Cairo 11511 Egypt
The Sultan Hassan Mosque was built between 1356 and 1363 by the Mamluk ruler Sultan Hassan, the scale of the mosque is so colossal that it nearly emptied the vast Mamluk Treasury. Historians believe that the builders of this mosque may have used stone from the pyramids at Giza.

Stop At: Khan Al-Khalili, Cairo Egypt
After you finished the visit of the Citadel and Mosques your tour guide will proceed with you to The Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, today is occupied by local merchants and traders, it is considered as one of the most popular souqs in the region. Shops typically sell souvenirs, antiques and jewelry, but the adjoining goldsmiths’ souq, for example, is still important for locals. Although less widespread than in earlier days, many craftsmen’ workshops continue to operate within the bazaar. After a short walk you may rest at one of the variant coffee shops, they are generally small and quite traditional, serving Arabic coffee and usually offering shisha. One of the oldest and most famous coffee houses is El Fishawy, established in 1773.
