It was built in 1902 and it exhibits a large number of genuine items, Statues, and treasures (exceeding 120,000 masterpieces) dating back to different eras from the ancient Egyptian period till Greco-Roman period including the priceless collection of the child king Tut Ankh Amon. Also you can visit the Mysterious Mummies room inside the Museum if you wish, which houses the mummified bodies of the great rulers of ancient Egypt like King Ramses II ,Merynptah and Queen Hatshepsut, etc., (Requires Extra Optional Ticket).
