Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Cairo

Pass By: Cairo, Cairo, Cairo Governorate
Our representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport (Arrival procedures) and then he will escort you to the hotel by private modern air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At hotel the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your Legends of the Nile vacation itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids & Sakkara

Stop At: Pyramids of Giza, Al Haram Str., Giza 12611 Egypt
Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then met by your personal guide who will accompany you to Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, famous Sphinx and Valley temple facing the great statue. Lunch included during the tour then proceed to Sakkara area to visit Sakkara Complex and first pyramid ever built (Djoser Pyramid) and Move to Memphis; Old kingdom’s capital and famous Necropolis. At night ( Optional ) visit to the Sound and Light show of the pyramids.

Day 3: Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo

Stop At: The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, Midan El Tahrir Geographical Society Building, Cairo 11511 Egypt
Breakfast at the hotel and then you will be escorted by your private guide to visit: Egyptian Museum, Treasures room for the child king Tutankhamen, alongside many other fascinating artifacts. Additional visit to the mummies room at the museum (extra ticket on spot) Lunch through out the tour at local restaurant, then moving to visit Saladin Citadel including Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque inside. Continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Back to hotel and then transfer to Giza Railway station to take the sleeper train to Aswan.

Day 4: Aswan & Nile Cruise

Stop At: Aswan, Aswan, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
At Aswan Railway station our representative will wait you. He will be holding sign with your name on it. After get your luggage he will make your transfer to your cruise ship. Embark on your cruise where you will be welcomed by your tour guide. After that, you will join our professional tour guide to visit the Aswan High Dam, constructed by the former president, Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 to store the water of the Nile, and then generate electricity. We will then drive to shores of the River Nile and take a motor boat to reach the Agilika Island to visit Temple of Philae, constructed in the 3rd century BC in the Greco Roman period. Our last visit of this marvelous day tour in Aswan will be to the Unfinished Obelisk, which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of Aswan. After the tour, we will get back to our Nile Cruise boat for overnight.

Day 5: Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu

Stop At: Kom Ombo, Kom Ombo, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
Energizing breakfast on the cruise. Our Nile Cruise boat will be landed at the location of the city of Kom Ombo, where we will visit Temple of Sobek & Haroeris, established in the Ptolemaic period, completed in the Roman era, and was dedicated to two gods, the local crocodile, Sobek and the famous eagle god, Haroeris. After that, we will get back to our boat for rest and refresh. Later on, we will visit Temple of Horus in Edfu, the finest preserved ancient Egyptian temple in the land of the Nile. We will then get back to our boat for overnight.

At night you will be invited to a special dinner on board will be an “Egyptian Night” also known as “Galabeya Night” party for all guests, with a chance to dress up in traditional Egyptian costumes. There will be a lavish buffet of Egyptian specialties food, followed by oriental music and dancing for everybody.

Day 6: Luxor

Stop At: Luxor, Luxor, Nile River Valley
Free morning on your own or (optional) we can offer a Hot-air Balloon over the West Bank of Luxor. Enjoy your delicious breakfast before exploring the city of the dead where we can visit Valley of the Kings, the richest and most fascinating ancient tombs in Egypt. This was the burial site of the kings from the New Kingdom. The next visit of the day will be to the Temple of Deir El Bahari, constructed during the reign of the 18th dynasty by Queen Hatshepsut, one of the greatest rulers of Egypt. Our last visit will be to the Colossi of Memnon; these two huge statues are the only remaining items of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III constructed in 1350 BC and became a landmark of Luxor afterwards. After that, we will get back to our boat for overnight.

Day 7: Luxor & Disembarkation

Stop At: Luxor Temple, Luxor 23512 Egypt
Check out after breakfast. Later on, we will move to explore the east bank of Luxor including two marvelous temple complexes. Our first visit of the day will be to the Karnak Temples Complex, constructed over a period of more than one thousand years, almost all the impressive items of the Karnak we see today date back to the new kingdom specially the huge amazing columns of the hypostyle hall which are constructed by Ramses II, the greatest builder of ancient Egypt. We will then visit Luxor Temple, another startling temple that was established around the 14th century BC and the construction continued for many years afterwards by Ramses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and many other Pharaohs. After the tour, we will transfer you to your location in Luxor.. After check out you will be transferred to Luxor railway station to take sleeper train to Cairo.
