Upon your arrival, meet your guide, who will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall with a sign of your name, to start your day tour by driving to the west bank for about 40 minutes to visit the Valley of the Kings, the original burial site of the boy King Tutankhamun, where the magnificent Tombs were discovered carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the Pharaohs, and have the opportunity to visit three Tombs. The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government to preserve them from the large flow of visitors; therefore, they are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed prior to your visit. King Tut’s tomb is included in the extra ticket.

Continue on to visit Hatshepsut’s Temple at El Deir El Bahari. This impressive Temple was dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh. It rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs. On the return journey, stop off at the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile.

Stop for a lunch break at a local restaurant, but bring water and drinks on your own. Then walk through the Avenue of Sphinxes, visit the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 gigantic columns, see the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis III, and witness the temple of Amon, adorned with exquisite lotus and papyrus designs.

Proceed to Luxor Temple. It was built by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom, and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. It was dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, together representing the Theban triad. Enjoy visiting the Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon.
