You will be picked up from your hotel between 4-5:30 in an air-conditioned bus and taken to Cairo Airport for your morning flight to Luxor.
Upon arriving at Luxor airport and exiting the airport by the exit, you will be met by your tour guide, who will hold a board with your name. After greeting you, you will be taken to start your day tour to explore Luxor.
Head to the west of Luxor; it is known as the city of the dead and is the funerary complex of the Ancient Egyptians. You will visit the Valley of Kings, the ancient cemetery of the pharaohs of the new kingdom. Hidden in the mountains between the tow limestone hills of Gurna, the valley of kings holds 63 registered tombs, and three more have recently been discovered.
According to the opened tombs, you will be able to visit 3 tombs from inside; the King Tut tomb is not one of them. If you plan to visit it, you need to inform your guide, who will help you purchase a ticket for it.
After touring the Valley of the Kings, you will be transported to the Queen Hatshipsut Temple, a three-story edifice built by the famous Queen Hatshipsut Temple to worship the sun deity Amon. The temple is notable for its spectacular construction and gorgeous hieroglyphic writings, which provide insight into ancient Egyptian society and beliefs. Visitors may also explore the neighboring cliffs and enjoy stunning views of the arid area.
Then you’ll be transported to a local restaurant for lunch, where you may sample traditional regional food.
This day tour to Luxor concludes with a visit to Egypt’s biggest ancient temple complex, the Karnak Temples. The Karnak Temple complex is one of Egypt’s most important landmarks, and spiritual spirits from ancient Egypt may still be sensed inside its walls. Massive columns, towering obelisks, and detailed hieroglyphics will take you back to Egypt’s golden age. Take a minute to appreciate the spiritual atmosphere and the architectural marvels that have endured the test of time.
By the end of the day, and according to the flight schedule, you will be transported back to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo. When you arrive at Cairo Airport, you will be greeted by a driver who will transport you back to your hotel in Cairo.
