Day 1: Aswan : the Temple of Philae – the High Dam

Pass By: Aswan, Aswan, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
(LD) In the morning your friendly driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to Cairo Airport for Flight To Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan you will pair up with your Egyptologist tour guide, who will take you toyour luxurious cruise ship for a 3 night Nile cruise. After check-in, you will begin a guided day tour, starting with Temple of Philae. After this visit you will go to the High Dam, You will be transferred back to the cruise ship for lunch, where you can also enjoy cruise activities and dinner in the evening. Spend the night on board in Aswan.
Stop At: Temple of Philae, Island of Agilika, Aswan Egypt
the Temple of Philae, which was built in honour of goddess Isis. After this visit you will go to the High Dam, an engineering miracle used as an embankment dam situated across the Nile River, built in the 1960’s to protect Egypt from annual floods.
You will be transferred back to the cruise ship for lunch, where you can also enjoy cruise activities and dinner in the evening. Spend the night on board in Aswan.

Day 2: Aswan : Temple of Horus – Temple of Kom Ombo
Pass By: Aswan, Aswan, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
(BLD) the ship will sail to Kom Ombo and Edfu. In Kom Ombo you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, which is dedicated to the god Sobek. After this visit you will sail toward Edfu. There, you will be taken to see the Temple of Horus, which is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. In the evening you will have dinner on board and spend the night.

visit the Temple of Edfu which is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. This is quite a young temple and is well-preserved making it very impressive.
At every site you will get information from your Egyptologist tour guide and you will get free time to explore the ancient monuments by yourself.

Day 3: Luxor Esna

(BLD) As the ship sails on towards Luxor, you will pass the city of Esna. Today you can just enjoy the view relaxing on the sundeck while watching the local life on the river and its banks. After arrival in Luxor you have the Spend your last night on board in Luxor

Day 4: Luxor
Pass By: Luxor, Luxor, Nile River Valley
(B) Possibility of optional Hot Air Ballooning over the West Bank (additional cost and weather permitting). After breakfast on board, you will check out at 8:00 AM to start your day tour of the West Bank of Luxor. First you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor. This ancient necropolis is a must-see for Luxor travelers. It consists of tombs embedded in the mountain Thebes. Here, you visit 3 tombs of various dynasties. Your Egyptologist tour guide will be on hand to recommend and advise you as to which tombs to visit. After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Ramses III (Medinet Habu). Afterwards, you will be taken to see the Colossi of Memnon, the two largest ancient statues in Egypt. To conclude your Nile cruise, you visit Karnak Temples on the East Bank of Luxor. Karnak beats every other pharaonic monument: it is simply one of the most beautiful ancient monuments in Egypt.

In the early morning, take an optional hot air balloon ride (additional cost) over Luxor’s West Bank
Amazing hot-air balloon ride that will show you beautiful views of Luxor from above. Drifting peacefully over the West Bank, you will be able to see most of the ancient monuments of Thebes.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Luxor in the early morning before sunrise and transferred to the West Bank of Luxor. When you arrive, meet your experienced pilot and receive a safety briefing as the crew prepares your brightly colored balloon. Have your camera ready to record the scenery as you sail through the air. As you fly, your pilot describes the sights and identifies hidden gems and points of interest. The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity,the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

Tomb of King Ramesses lX was the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. His name prior to assuming the crown was Amonhirkhopshef. He was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed to the position of crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father’s reign when all four of his elder brothers predeceased his promotion to crown prince .
The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

Karnak is a complex of temples built in different reigns, starting with the Avenue of Sphinxes, the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 gigantic columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis I, the Temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarbeus of Amenophis III and the Sacred Lake.
