The Karnak Temple Complex is a huge collection of temples, pylons, chapels, and other structures in varying states of deterioration located near Luxor, Egypt. The name Karnak is derived from the Arabic word Khurnaq, which means “walled settlement.”

The Valley of the Kings (Arabic: Wd Abwb al-Mulk) is a valley in Egypt where rock-cut tombs of pharaohs and great nobles of the New Kingdom were dug for more than 500 years, from the 16th to 11th centuries BC (the Eighteenth to the Twentieth Dynasties of Ancient Egypt).
