Itinerary
Day 1: All the way to Siwa Oasis
Stop At: El Alamein, El Alamein, Matrouh Governorate
As it is a long way to Siwa, we start from Cairo by car in the early morning, arriving there by the end of the day. You’ll explore El-Alamein Museum and the Commonwealth world war cemetery on the way. Lunch stop on your way. Reliable driver and comfortable car! After arrival you check into a traditional hotel that delightfully connects old habits and customs with modern spirit. Enjoy your jump into another world on the rooftop. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Siwa and Sightseeing
Stop At: Cleopatra’s Pool – Spring of Juba, Siwa Egypt
After breakfast we will have a walk through the oasis and its historic centre. Guests interested in souvenir and other shopping possibilities will find remarkable handicrafts. Cleopatra’s Bath: The springs of Siwa are famous throughout the Western Desert. Temple of Amun or the Temple of the Oracle: We will tell you the stories around that place – you enjoy the view and the landscape. Temple of Umm Ubayd – a pathetic ruin joined to the Temple of Amun.

Day 3: Sand Dunes, Hot spring, and more
Stop At: Mountain of the Dead, Siwa Egypt
One of the region’s main attractions is the hot ‘Bir Wahet’ spring. We will start today’s trip with four-wheel cars so as to both enjoy a warm bath in the spring and to experience first-hand the majestic sand dune landscapes in the vicinity. The ‘Mountain of the Dead’, otherwise known as ‘Gebel Mowta’, is also on our way. The entire mountain plateau is covered with old family graves that go back to the 26th dynasty and the living can enjoy a wonderful view.

Day 4: Explore the Town of the Romans
Stop At: Siwa, Siwa, Matrouh Governorate
Balad al-Rum – the Town of the Romans. There are the remains of a mudbrick structure that has been variously identified as a Roman Fort and a Christian Church. The small mountain of Gebel Tinkmamou lies to the west of Balad. According to tradition, a light is sometimes visible from the top of the mountain and in one of the caves the stone tingle like silver coins.
Fatnas – a small island that apperas on the local map as Fantasy Island. From here you have a spectacula view of the lake with Gebels Bayda and Hamra. A walk in the gardens shows a variety of trees. It is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the sunset.

Day 5: Daytrip to Qara-Oais
Stop At: Siwa, Siwa, Matrouh Governorate
Five days by camel from Siwa (70 miles) in the oasis of Qarat Umm al-Sughayyar, Mother of the Little One, is the picturesque village of Qara. It is sometimes known as the Camp of Alexander the Great, because he paused here several times.
And it is one of the few remaining fortress towns to be found intact, untouched by any modern convenience. The people of Qara live in avery hostile environment but despite their poverty, Qara is one of the places in the Western Desert where traditional Bedouin hospitality is maintained.
Beyond the oasis, dominating the horizon is Gebel Qarn al Laban, Mountain of the Milky Horns, a white mountain with several outstanding peaks.
